■Concept
“It's been a while since bar code has spread over our life. But "What is bar code? Who is it?" It might be an envoy sent by an alien who wants to dominate over the Earth. Or it could be some code made by some confidential organization (like CIA or something) to brainwash the people.
The 'Bar code' must be scheming something at this time. All of you, please be careful enough when you use the bar code!”
Bar code part represents something artificial and men themselves, multi colour stripe parts represent the world around us.
If you see the detail of the colour part, mismatched colours like normally people won’t combine together are located next to each other. This world is filled with a wide variety of people and miscellaneous things, at first glance, it looks chaotic but when you see it from far away, you’ll find out unexpected harmonies.
The world surround us also seems to be chaotic, but in fact, there are some kind of balance and harmony. If you see the world from a distance, you can find new beauty and harmony. Like this, I represent the relation of the world surrounding us and ordinally life of people by my artworks.

■Concept
The figure of Chinese character “人” (people) express two people hold each other. But for me each people have their own power of attraction, and many people are pulling each other. (Crushed stones express people ourselves, threads express pulling tension between people and people.) Especially I feel it after I moved to Shanghai, in this busy city, many people come and leave in short term, because Shanghai is just a temporary stop for many people. That kind of tension (some kind of stress) is essential power for people’s life, naturally each people are isolated and living their life, but people are keeping their balance by being pulled by many direction.
But once the balance of tension is lost, the string can be cut or become loosen. That will cause stress or carelessness, then people will loose their own rhythm of their life. But people try to fix the string to get back the balanced life again.
That connection of threads start from people around you, then spread out to oversea, then cover entire world. When I imagine entire earth is covered by many many meshes, I feel like I’m nearly going crazy. But at the same time, that scenery seems to be very beautiful to me.
